The Graduation and Research Laboratory on the Teaching of Philosophy (LLPEFIL) was created in 2007 on the initiative of the UERJ Department of Philosophy and it aims to develop extension and research activities on Philosophy and its Teaching.

Extension project with the interest of developing educational proposals with the transforming potential of society linked to philosophical reflection.

It works in Mangueira as a free community college entrance exam (we have just approved another student for Philosophy at UERJ), we have volunteers from various UERJ graduations (biology, geography, letters, mathematics) and also volunteer teachers from CAP-UERJ and UFRJ With a scholarship.

Meteoro Group intends to circulate the questioning around the Myth of Western Reason, or the hegemony of an oppressive and excluding mentality. We will make thematic study groups open to all interested parties. In addition, we will continue our work on Youtube, through conversations and the Cineclube.

It is about making an effort to realize other possible worlds, talking about it, acting in this direction. 

The odyssey of Western reason worries us today. The much-vaunted reason that since Greek thought has been presented as the essence of universal man has become irreversibly questionable. It is decisive for us today to deconstruct the naturalized notion that Western philosophy consisted of an evolutionary step, better and necessary, OF Man. Let it be clear that a deconstruction in this sense does not in any way reduce the grandeur, beauty and brilliance of Western philosophy. But it is also necessary to be clear about how much such a myth of European referentiality/centrality – predominantly supported by philosophy and the “success” of the sciences, but also by oppressive and slavocratic politics – brought about the effects of enormous power and domination. It is undeniable that the “Europe effect” constituted and still constitutes a long and extremely important moment in the history of the world, but it is not up to him, nor to anyone else, to hijack the World, Man, History for himself.

The Grupo de Estudos Anarchistas Maria Lacerda de Moura emerged in the midst of the June 2013 journeys with a view to disseminating and debating anarchism.  

Students from various degrees and from outside the university participate in the activities, which are mainly: mini-courses, debates and conversation circles. Currently, we have held meetings in partnership with the Meteoro Laboratory, coordinated by Prof. Izabela Bucayuva. With a fellow and some volunteers.
